The description reads the following: "Linux Version Linux , Linux Mint , Ubuntu , Fedora , OpenSUSE". In Ubuntu https://www.ubuntu.com/download/iot/intel-nuc-desktop However, under point 1 only 7n Gen. NUC's are listed: Where is e.g. the Ubuntu ISO Imag for this NUC?

I am using Linux (lubuntu-18.10-desktop-amd64) in "UEFI" mode. Everything runs without problems. However, with Linux distros, "Secureboot" must be deactivated in the UEFI BIOS. This is deactivated by default, otherwise UEFI-BIOS with F2..... You can then also deactivate the internal microphones, change the LED ring colour and update the BIOS.
For LINUX installation EFI style: Select EFI in the Debian/Ubuntu installer, or create a GPT partition table and then as partition 1, 350MB FAT32, with "boot" flag and "ESP" as well as mountpoint "/boot" (according to dropdown menu). This is then already EFI compliant. Partition 2 then, for example, rootfs "/" EXT4 with "boot" flag. Then further partitions as required (for pirate copies, erotica, whatever...). Usually the last partition is a few GB "swap" (e.g. with 8GB RAM, create 8 GB swap partition). aight! right on! ....anything can, nothing must :)

I have it running with the normal Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS. This should work without any problems.

I can confirm that everything works now. Well OK, the NIC does not work. But I have the feeling that it is a hardware defect. I have opened a support ticket at Digitec and am also active in a forum about this:

The device is definitely top!
