According to P/N UM.QV0EE.S02, it has a speaker. See here (2x2 watts):

There are two models VG240Y and VG240YS (with S, for 144Hz) and they both have speakers, so there is only one variant.
Maybe this is a universal box for several models and the information on the box means additional speakers that are mounted outside.
