The control panel shows the connected record player. However, the Hi-Res Audio Recorder displays the error message that no record player was found. What now?
Disconnect the supplied USB cable and restart your computer. Make sure the computer is running, then connect the computer and the turntable with the USB cable.
For detailed connection instructions, see "Connecting your computer and turntable".
Make sure that the USB device driver software is successfully installed. (For Windows)
If you are connecting your computer to the turntable for the first time using the USB cable, or using a different USB port to the one previously used, the USB device driver software may need to be reinstalled.
Connect the turntable to the computer and switch it on, then click [Control Panel] - [Hardware and Sound] - [Device Manager] (when "Control Panel" is displayed in the "Category" view).
If "PS-HX500" is displayed under [Audio, Video and Game Controllers] in the window, the USB device driver software has been successfully installed.
Follow the steps below to ensure that the turntable name is displayed in "System Information". (For Mac)
Connect the turntable to the computer and turn it on.
Click [About this Mac] on the Apple menu.
Click [Overview] - [System Report].
Click [USB] under [Hardware] and make sure that "PS-HX500" is displayed.
Note
If the latest Windows updates are not applied, the application may not be installed successfully. Start Windows Update and install the latest updates.
I found this in a guide. Maybe this will help you. Have you changed the USB port? Also, isn't your PC's power management somehow in eco mode?
