The control knob does not work properly. Only on/off. Experience if the brightness and heat cannot be adjusted?

I have NEVER had this, but EXACTLY when I read your question, I noticed the same problem with my lamp *confused*. Plugging it in and out helped though...
So far no functional defect has been detected
