The Airpods 3 are a bit bigger than their predecessors? somehow they don't sit right on me and the sound is very weak. I thought they were the exact same shape.

These are my first AirPods, so I can't answer that. Perhaps it depends on the shape of each person's ears. On the other hand, no problem for me, I was even surprised by the sound quality.
