The 2TB version has a sales start date of 31.08.2016, while the two smaller versions are listed as 31.12.2016. Is this really more like that or do you just assume it?

The 2TB version is limited and remains exclusive to pre-orderers. The exact release date is not yet known, but will be in August.
The two smaller versions (500GB and 1TB) do not have a release date yet, but are expected in 2016. As soon as we have the exact dates, we will of course add them :).
