Some test reports say that the ANC is only mediocre. Can anyone confirm this?

I'm actually quite satisfied, although I don't have a comparison with other products. For example, mobile phone chatter in trams and trains or street noise is well muffled.

I can compare it moderately well, but the ANC certainly doesn't come close to that of closed headphones ... I replaced the original silicone earplugs with Comply earplugs and they do a pretty good job of blocking out noise. The Comply earplugs are extremely noise-reducing even without ANC.
