So how does the pre-order process go ? I couldn't find anything about pre-orders in the general terms or in description.
Can customer cancel a pre-order ?
Do customer make payment when product becomes available, at the final price ?
Or shall customer make a pre-payment, and how will they be refunded of the price difference ?

you can cancel the pre-order at anytime
you can either choose, make the payment now via creditcard and get the difference refunded back on the card if the price changes, or you choose invoice and pay it later, as soon as you get the switch lite
