Question about Apple iPhone 6

Since the new software updates, the battery is no longer usable, 40 min with medium use and the battery drops to 20%.... This was also the reason why I switched from IOS to Android (got the Honor 10). I think the latest software updates are destroying the old phones, maybe on purpose by Apple so you have to get a new one.
