Since I switched from the RX580 graphics card to the GeForce RTX 3060, the 144Hz selection is not available to me either in the Windows setting or in the Nvidia Control Panel. I can select a maximum of 100Hz. Can anyone help me to understand why this is the case? I have tried DP as well as HDMI cable (high speed), no change, always only max. 100Hz selectable.

Hello I have a RTX3070 and 144 without problems, but I use the monitor via a DisplayPort cable.
I have not installed the monitor driver, but via the device manager I find the Generic Monitor driver (U34G2G4R3).
driver version 10.0.22621.608
my NVIDIA driver version is 31.0.15.2698.
I would suggest to install Gefore Experience if not available.
Do you have the monitor in the device driver several times? Otherwise I would throw it out and restart.

I have the monitor with display port on a 3070 and have 144Hz at all resolutions.
I don't know anything about software for the monitor. 
I would certainly update the VBios or /and check the monitor settings myself.

Some have had problems without the monitor driver. Have you installed it?
