Very little is coincidence in marketing... except maybe the breakfast clown ;)
Almost all Earbuds come in this ugly (my opinion) Apple design to get a piece of the pie. Even the mobile phones more or less completely copy the design with slight modifications. I have never heard of any problems with copyright, which surprises me.
P.S.: When I heard "Shazam", I first thought of the character and thought: "rage?" ....But then the Wikipedia page cleared it up :P
