Hi David, I switched from the 1070 to this card and you can already tell the difference, 30 inch monitor.
monitor ( xplane11). This card is a bit smaller, but needs 2x 8pin power connectors, just right for big monitors with high resolution.

One 2080 card for gaming is certainly enough, why two?

If you are looking for a graphics card just for gaming - then a 2080 ti is enough... But if you render in high resolution yourself then there is no way around a Quadra or the RTX Titan. And then the RTX Titan is a bargain compared to the Quadra...
