Question about Sonos Playbar

My TV doesn't have an optical output. Can I connect the Playbar with a stereo cinch cable and a Flexson Stereo Cinch In to Optical Out adapter? Sound goes to the TV via HDMI.

My TV doesn't have an optical output either. I have it with a splitter (which splits HDMI for me) and outputs an optical audio signal. The Sonos Play Bar has an optical input. No problem.
