Question about Philips Hue White & Color Ambiance Double Expansion
My lamp has a "MAX 6W LED" sticker. What would I have to expect if I were to use a Hue White & Color with 6.5W anyway? The LEDs do not produce any significant waste heat...
The difference is not too big. Shouldn't make any difference.
In the worst case, overheated electronics of the 6W luminaire and a house fire that neither the manufacturer nor the insurance company want to compensate because you did not adhere to the manufacturer's specifications :-) More realistic, however, is that the lamp (illuminant) does not shine or shines slightly dimmed. Possibly nothing special at all.
An amateur opinion: 0.5W is within the tolerance range that the lamp has to cope with anyway.
