Lenovo ThinkPad Hybrid
Lenovo ThinkPad Hybrid
My docking station does not respond when I connect my Lenovo ThinkPad. Nothing happens - and yes, it is connected to the power. What could be the problem? I have two HDMI screens. Everything works fine with the ThinkPad docking station.
Hello Jeanette
Sorry, "My docking station is not responding...." and "Everything works fine with the ThinkPad docking station" is a bit contradictory.
I assume that your laptop is connected with USB-C and has problems with the output to the two monitors.
The docking is not recognised correctly by Windows 10.
I tried a lot and eventually it worked:
- "Win"&"P" (key combination).
- Desktop / right mouse click / "Display settings" / scroll "Multiple screens" / "Extend this display".
- Many reboots (5x)
- USB-A
If it is not the monitors, it is important to know if the power button is lit and white or yellow.
Behaviour when pressing the power button for a short time or >5 seconds.
Which port you connect the laptop to (USB-A or USB-C).
The laptop is charging the battery. The laptop is in energy saving mode when plugged in.
USB via the docking works (mouse/keyboard/printer/etc.)
Sound is set to the correct output device on the laptop.
All those who do not depend on the USB-A and USB-C function should not buy a hybrid.
The docking station item 10829677 is the better choice.
Greetings
Andreas
I also had this in very rare cases. If I disconnected the docking station from the power supply and waited about 30 seconds, it worked.
