Maybe it's a stupid question, but I can't imagine much about it: You clip the thing between the computer and the monitor and you can record without any loss of performance on the computer itself via xSplit? Or why should I buy the thing if I can also record/stream directly via the computer?
Hello
The statement you made is not quite true: "You clip this thing between the computer and the monitor and you can record with it without any loss of performance on the computer itself via xSplit?
The Razer Ripasaw is a capture card to get the video+sound signal from any console to your PC. You connect the card between the console and the monitor (it's best to get a switch to make it easier to switch between the PC and the console) and then connect the card to the PC via USB. Then install the drivers and you can start streaming. Without such a Game Capture Card you wouldn't get your console signal on your PC.
To put it in general terms, if you plan to stream a console game via Xsplit or OBS with overlay and alerts, you need such a game capture card.
I'm very happy with it and haven't had any problems.
