Can the powerbank also be charged via USB-C? I don't want to have to use an extra charging cable.

Yes, BUT and this is important. The powerbank can only be charged via MicroUSB with QC3, which means that with an appropriate charger you only need half the time via MicroUSB than if you charge it via USB-C.
