With the XPS 15 9550 (4K variant), the monitor runs in full resolution: 5120 x 2160 @60Hz!
But beware: it worked with the supplied USB3/Thunderbolt cable.
Whereas: With the supplied 5K Displayport cable and the USB 3.1 - DP adapter (https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/club-3d-aktiver-usb-31-typ-c-zu-dp-10cm-data-video-adapter-5711550), only 30 Hz is possible.
