I've been using this monitor for a good 10 days now. The monitor itself is in good order, but GSync doesn't excite me very much. I have very noticeable brightness flickering across the entire screen in various games (only when GSync is on). Since there are contradictory reports on the internet, can anyone of you observe the same thing? Although I didn't buy it primarily because of GSync, I would still be a little disappointed...
Hallo,
habe den gleichen Bildschirm (und GTX1060) seit ca. 1/2 Jahr. Zocke viel im G-Sync Modus und so etwas wäre mir noch nie aufgefallen. evtl Auto Helligkeit?
Graka neuster Treiber?
mal auf 1/2 Auflösung getestet?
Mitgeliefertes Kabel verwendet?

Quick update - complete nvidia driver reinstall helped fixing the problem for 80% of the games, to a level were it is bearable. However ive notice that this monitor has horrible color banding at dark scenes or bright scenes (night at outlast or sky at gta v). Did any of you guys experience it?
Also keep me updated on acers position on this. Thanks
The monitor has been running for a few months without any flickering. I mainly play Elite Dangerous, so I have plenty of dark backgrounds, but I can't observe the behaviour described here. I have consistently overclocked the monitor to 120Hz and enabled G-Sync, other features like Blue-Light Filter, Adaptive Contrast or Shadow Brightening are disabled.
I recommend switching these settings on or off, perhaps it will make a difference.
I have also noticed it. I notice it most clearly in Europa Universalis 4, but it varies greatly from game to game. I find it most noticeable with a dark background.
I have recorded the whole thing on video using the example of "Subnautica". The flickering is actually visible and has nothing to do with the recording :(
Mute the sound briefly beforehand. I didn't speak, but you can hear slight background noises ;)
