Question about OnePlus 8 Pro Limited (12GB)

It says that the 1+ 8pro can receive 5G signals with the provider Sunrise. According to the settings, 5G is activated on my device, but I have never had this signal (city of Zurich). 5G has been activated on my subscription with the provider. I have heard in other communities that you have to change something on the device. However, this would invalidate the warranty. Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you very much for your answer.

Digitec should take a stand on this?
On the one hand, they advertise that 5g with the Sunrise 5g support provider and then this.
This should have been pointed out.
The question here is whether they deliberately lied or simply did bad research.

Hello.
OnePlus is not officially available in Switzerland, so unfortunately not everything works. I had already asked OnePlus and they said that in every country where OnePlus is not officially traded, parts of the phone do not work.

That's 5G, WIFI calling, VOLTE here. Until recently, it was possible to modify the phone with an APK (app) so that 5G should work: https://dariomader.io/2020...

But it is now the case that OnePlus has stopped this, so if you have Android 11 installed in Beta or Final, it no longer works!
Then it's also the case that if you have 2 SIM cards installed, i.e. Dual SIM, 5G doesn't work at all, this is a limitation of OnePlus that they might want to fix...

Therefore, unfortunately a little difficult with the brand.

Greetings
