it only says something about apple under compatibility, so i assume they also work on android devices, right?

It works perfectly with Android devices.
Yep works great on android. sometimes there is a time delay between the left and right handset, but then it helps to re-establish the connection to the mobile again.
Works flawlessly for me on the Samsung S22 ultra Android device.
