Question about Sony Playstation 4 Pro 1TB + Red Dead Redemption 2
Is this the new PS4 with revision 7216? If so, can anyone tell me about the fan volume and whether the new revision is quieter? Thanks

It is the 7216B. In my case, unfortunately, with the (supposedly) inferior Delta fan. Others, however, also report the (supposedly) better Nidec fan. So it comes down to the old fan lottery again.
Someone (like me) got a 7216B with Delta and it was almost as loud as his old PS4 Pro. He then exchanged it and luckily got a model with a Nidec fan. It was then noticeably quieter.
BUT...apparently practically all 71xx and 72xx models have the "coil whine", for which there is no solution yet and which also annoys many people a lot, even if it is of course a different kind of noise compared to the fan noise.
So with a LOT of luck you get a model with a Nidec fan and less coil whine. If you're very unlucky, you'll have the Delta fan and loud coil whine. And the majority will probably end up somewhere in between.
Yes, Sony...the (more powerful) XBox One X is practically inaudible! (No alternative if you want the better PS4 games, unfortunately).
Won't be able to test my 7216B (with Delta) until tomorrow. Then I'll know which group I belong to. If it's too loud, it's going back.
