Is this remote control also compatible with the NIKON Coolpix P900?

Yes, the remote control works perfectly with the Coolpix P900. The shutter release time can be selected in the menu under "Remote release".

As far as I know, the Nikon P900 is not equipped with an IR receiver. I have the P610, among others, and it is not equipped either. But great!
