is this microphone suitable for sound recording? and is it very volume sensitive as my PC is next to me on the table and is rather loud?
Honestly. The microphone looks top and modern. Everyone in the office admires it. But I didn't notice any difference compared to the previous microphone from InterDiscount for 59 Fr.-.
I still have to edit the recordings with adobe audition. which is a real pain! I think next time I'll buy a pair of bluetooth headphones with a microphone.
I had the previous model. This one (as well as the new one) has a dial at the bottom where you can adjust how sensitive it should pick up. So you can put the mic further away in a quiet room or place it 5cm in front of you. If you set the sensitivity very low, then you have to hold it as close as possible to your mouth and it works very well and you don't hear anything from around. I only had the microphone from the headset before (Astro A50, which is supposed to be the best on the market). The sound quality was much better than the headset. I bought the NT2-A from Rode, which is supposed to be very good. The colleagues here don't hear a more extreme difference now. This is just the information from a gamer who streams now and then. I don't know how strong it is compared to a very high professional use.
Maybe place the PC a little better. A loud PC has no place on the table. It's not the microphone's fault.
