The Tamron AF 18-400mm is PS-C / DX . So it is compatible with the Nikon D5000.
But you are asking the question about the Canon model. You have to order the model for Nikon! (available at Digitec).

As far as I know, Canon lenses or Tamron lenses for Canon EOS are not compatible with Nikon. However, there is a Tamron 18-400 available at Interdiscount.ch.
