Question about Nikon AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR

I have used the lens with a 3rd party 1.4x teleconverter and it works. So it should also work with the Nikon. But the loss of quality is noticeable. In my opinion, the quality is better if you work without the converter and then edit the images (Photoshop or similar). With the N500 it works perfectly
