Question about Samsung Portable T5
Is this hard drive worth it as a backup medium for a Macbook? In the long run, I would like to use the hard drive as a normal storage medium and therefore I am willing to spend a little more on an SSD instead of an HDD, if it is worth it. My Macbook has 256GB and maybe a backup of my iPhone (max. 128GB) so I thought a 500GB SSD would be enough. What do you think?

Yes, you can't go wrong with the T5. It's fast, compact and well made. I use mine almost every day and don't regret buying it for a second. I also really appreciate the USB-C port.
Only you can answer whether the 500GB is enough. At the moment it seems to be enough for your purposes, but in most cases you will regret not having taken the larger one in 2-3 years.
