Is this display compatible with an APPLE MAC PRO 2.7 GHz 12-Core Intel Xeon E5, 32GB RAM, AMD FirePro D700 6144 MB? And is this display recommended for video editing?
Thank you very much for your answer! Since the monitor only has USB-C and HDMI inputs, I wasn't sure if it was compatible with our APPLE MAC PRO, which only has one HDMI and Thunderbolt outputs. I'm not sure if the HDMI connection is fast enough for video editing.... What do you think?
I use the screen for video editing and would recommend it.
Working on a 21:9 screen is very pleasant because the timeline can stretch across the whole width, which is not possible with dual screen.
The colour space covers "only" 99% sRGB, which may not be sufficient for professional use. However, I consider the colour reproduction and contrast to be good and the screen is calibrated ex works (with protocol).
Since the screen is curved, straight lines may appear crooked depending on the viewing angle. Whether this is a problem or not is ultimately a matter of taste. I have got used to it well.
