Is this CashBack fishing or fraud ? There is no serial number to be found anywhere. By researching on the Internet, I found out that the last digits of the barcode should be the serial number. I was then able to send off the Internet form. With all the photos and details they wanted! (With questions that are basically none of SONY's business!) Today I got a very long email that I should send a photo with the serial number on the device. But unfortunately this is not possible because there is no serial number on the device! Are you trying to take the piss out of me? I am very upset with this hassle to get the CashBack. Feels like a scam. Please let me know where I can find this serial no.
The photo with the product in hand and the serial number visible is a measure to prevent fraud. Otherwise, someone could take a photo of the packaging in the shop and claim the cashback in the box collection. So ultimately the measure protects YOU from fraud. Be glad that Sony is so clever. And just, Digitec has nothing to do with it, the money flows directly from Sony to you. The S/N is usually under the swivel reflector.
Possibly below the swivel reflector: https://www.dslr-forum.de/showthread...
Incidentally, Digitec has nothing whatsoever to do with the cashback. That was Sony's fault.
