Yes, it works with the t42g. And as far as I know, bluetooth is downward compatible. I use my jabra evolve 2 with it and I meant that it also has Bt5.0.

Yes, but unfortunately it only supports Bluetooth 4.1, and my headphones need 5.0 ☹️
