Alphacool Icicle temperature sensor
Alphacool Icicle temperature sensor
Is there a reason why the Aquaero 6 XT is missing from the compatibility list? The sensors from Aquacomputer (http://digit.ec/2451075 ) also have 10 kOhm according to the specifications, so shouldn't the Alphacool also work? Or am I mistaken? Has anyone already combined these 2 products and has any experience in this regard?
After a short research: Yes, it should work.
I have a Corsair Commander Pro, which comes with 10KOhm NTC sensors. I have also connected the Aphacool icicle to the Commander and it shows me plausible temperatures.
The Alphacool already has 10kOhm, but since it also works with the Commander, I assume that this is also an NTC sensor.
At Aquacomputer, the sensors for the Aquaero are only described as "NTC" sensors, but the specifications for the Aquaero say 10 kOhm.
With these indications I think it should work, as the original accessory is probably also a 10kOhm NTC sensor.
Unfortunately, the manufacturers are a bit stingy when it comes to concrete specifications, so I am only 98% sure.
I hope I could help
PS.
So while researching I noticed that all manufacturers have 10kOhm, or simply NTC, so I assume that it is probably a standard in the PC world to work with 10KOhm NTC temperature sensors.
