Is the smooth scrolling really "fluid" (as with the Magic Mouse on the Mac) or is content on the screen still scrolled in steps?

When the scroll wheel is pressed, the hyper-fast mode can be activated, allowing documents and web pages to be skimmed.

it scrolls in steps (default setting 3 lines) - I think this is system-dependent, but can be changed
