Is the PreSonus Eris E5 recommended as a pair with the Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 and Macbook Pro 2018 combo? Does anyone have any experience? Looking for good studio monitors for private use (recording, mixing, monitoring and online ZOOM sessions). Thanks for feedback...

I use Eris 5 as a PC and studio monitor. Compared to my Yamaha 5 inch monitors they sound better. I have neither Mac nor Scarlett interface but Huawei Matebook X pro and RME Babyface and I am very satisfied. There is nothing you can't do with it. Matebook also has a Thunderbolt port, so external DSP would also be possible.

In this price range, I find the PreSonus almost unbeatable. The sound quality is also very good in combination with the Scarlet.
The MacBook no longer plays a role, as the Scarlet will replace the sound card (also onboard). I can only recommend it.
