Question about Garmin Edge 1000
Is the part suitable for mountain biking and does it show the terrain or trails optimally? Fall and water resistant ?

Regarding trails: the standard Garmin map is not suitable for trails. The Swisstopo map, on the other hand, is great (but not cheap) or otherwise use opensource maps.
Regarding water/falls: I would protect with the compatible silicone cover, then no problem (at least for me).
