Question about MSI X470 Gaming Pro
Is the part compatible with part no. 8359166 AMD Ryzen 5 2600X (AM4, 3.60GHz, Unlocked)?! I do find a Ryzen 5 2600X on the manufacturer's compatibility list, but with a different manufacturer number. However, this is also the case with the Ryzen 7, which is why I'm not sure if the manufacturer simply differs or if it's actually a different CPU.

Yes, all Ryzen 2XXX require an AM4 mainboard. The X470 is an AM4 chip mainboard, so yes, it is compatible with your desired processor. The manufacturer number should have no effect on compatibility.
I also run a Ryzen 5 2600X on the board. And I can also confirm that everything has been working perfectly for me since the summer holidays. You can't go wrong with this combination.
