Is the OnePlus North also only available via Swisscom in 5G mode or also with sunrise? I often see 5G mobile phones ---> On this smartphone, the new 5G mobile technology only works with the provider Swisscom for the time being. LG
I am happy to quote @Andrea Jacob here
"OnePlus 5G models are fully functional in Switzerland and also operate on the corresponding and necessary bands. The hardware is therefore not the primary problem, but the providers and the associated hurdles and tests. The path to certification is particularly hard at Swisscom. Therefore, only the Sunrise and Salt networks work with OnePlus at the moment. Swisscom is still testing the devices. Best regards, Andrea" I hope this answers the question about 5G.
I can confirm that the Nord does NOT work on the Sunrise 5G network. However, if you follow the instructions below and switch off the smart 5G, the Nord will register immediately if the 5G network is available :) Of course, your subscription must include 5G. With a little IT background, the whole thing won't take 10 minutes, but it can be done without!

All operators in Switzerland use the same band (n78).
It should work. But I've never used 5G myself. It doesn't matter now, as long as you don't live directly above a 5G antenna or carry one with you.
Depends on the CH providers... Practically already usable and compatible, 5G is integrated on the SoC Snapdragon 865, e.g. it works on the Oppo flagship.
With the Oneplus 8, 5G does not work on any network, neither Swisscom nor Sunrise. I think this will be similar with the Oneplus North, as Oneplus blocks certain operators (for whatever reason)!
5g is still so bad that people don't even want to use it! Since the 5G technology must always have a clear view of the smartphone, it does not yet make sense in Switzerland. It will be years before it can be used properly here in the country.
