Is the dual sim simultaneous? or do we have to choose which card we want to activate?

It all depends. They can coexist but only 1 card can be used for one service at a time.
For example, you can use 1 Swisscom card for calls and SMS and 1 Salt card for Internet, but if someone calls you on the Salt number, it will indicate that the recipient is not reachable (phone off).
