The current price is completely insane. I bought the same monitors about 6 years ago for just over CHF 200 each.

Supply and demand determine the price. Look at the price trend, or look at what these monitors cost at others, unfortunately that's how it is.
And always ask questions about the price directly to the sales department, that's the better way.
