Yes, the cable is 30cm long and the HUB 10cm.

It would never have occurred to me to measure this, but I can say the following:

No, the cable alone is only 26.5cm long, measured from the hub housing.

With the USB plug, however, it's a whopping 31.8cm and who thinks that's cheating!!!? No!!
Far from it, because the plug goes into the USB port and then a whole 30.5cm remains as the data transfer distance from the port on the device to the hub.

You can therefore place the USB hub a whole 0.5cm further away from the connecting device than originally assumed.
