Is the 6 pin really mandatory? Or is it just for RGB because the normal nVidia graphics card only has the 2x8 PIN.
Yes, it's mandatory, even if the card won't consume more power than another card with 2 connectors, so putting a double pcie cable as a 2nd one doesn't pose any problem (as is the case with most power supplies).
But it's really not worth buying this card with the 3000 series coming out, as the 3070 should be the equivalent for around 600 chf.
