Is it worthwhile to describe them in the sli?
Do yourself a favour and do without SLI! Unfortunately, there are no reasonable SLI profiles for many games, so you can only play with 1 graphics card. And although a GTX 970 is actually solid (up to 1080p), it will soon no longer be enough.
A GTX 970 is probably the worst card for SLI, because it still has the 3.5 GB debacle. Keep in mind that (currently) the VRAM does not add up with SLI, which means that even with SLI you "only" have 4GB (or 3.5) and that's not very much these days, especially for 1440p or even 4K...
I wouldn't judge the card only by its appearance. If you already have a GTX 970, save the money and enjoy the solid performance up to 1080p. If it's no longer enough, buy a 1070 (or a 980ti (maybe occasion) if you're on a tight budget) or whatever is current at the time.
I wouldn't recommend SLI, it causes more problems than a single card and the GTX 970 has already reached a certain age (why do you want exactly this card and not a 1070/1080 or something similar ? )
