Is it worth switching from the iPhone 15 Pro Max to the Pixel 10 Pro? I would like a smaller smartphone that runs smoothly, has a nice display and a good camera.

Can't tell you whether it's worth it for you. If you only know Apple, the system could cause you problems, e.g. app availability and new purchases.
Otherwise, the Pixel runs smoothly (I don't game) and the camera takes beautiful pictures with natural colours. I like it.
