Question about Samsung Galaxy S7

Is it the case that the secondary SIM card can only access the 2G network while the main SIM card runs on 3G/4G? After all, some mobile phone providers will close down the 2G network from 2020. After that, the second SIM would be useless. Or can we expect an update from Samsung that changes this?

At the moment, no manufacturer actually offers 2x 4g modems, max 1x 4g and 1x3g. When the 2g network is effectively switched off in 2020, most mobile phones will be obsolete in this respect...there will be no update. It is conceivable that the upgrade would only be possible via hardware.
