Question about Sp Connect Moto Mount Pro
is it possible to turn the smartphone 90° with this product without an Allen key? or do I have to decide when mounting whether I want to dock the device vertically or horizontally?

No, the new model does not require an allen key. That's my problem, it turns very easily
then I must rather go for Quad Lock, as far as I understood, it goes with this model without tools, thank you!
