Is it possible to take a longer break with this GPS during training and put the display in a locked / switched off state and then unlock / switch on the display again and continue riding? Will all data be retained and displayed correctly even after the break?

Helpful answer

Yes, with the Garmin Edge Explore 2 you can take a longer break during training and switch the display to a locked or switched off state without losing the data.

- You can switch off the device by pressing the physical on/off button or put it into energy-saving mode to extend the battery life.
- When you switch the device back on or bring it out of power save mode, all data collected during the ride will be retained and recording will continue.
- The device will resume recording your ride from the point where you left off and all relevant data such as distance, time, speed and other performance data will be correctly tracked and displayed.
