Is it possible to save a high resolution photo from the PC to the S8 without changing the resolution? This is not possible with the iPhone 7 (save as photos).

Of course you can. The S8 functions as a normal mass storage device, where you can save everything just like on an external HDD.
@ schminau: If you save a photo on an Android phone, it can be done without loss. It is normal that not always exactly the same storage space is used on the storage medium and depends on your storage medium. The file itself remains the same.

Unfortunately, this only works with some loss, original 8.096 MB and on the S8 7.9MB, but it is certainly bearable.
