Is it possible to plug an RJ45 USB adapter into a USB port on the monitor and thus transmit the LAN signal from an Ethernet cable via adapter->monitor-> via the USB-C cable to the laptop ?
Yes, that is possible. I use a USB-A hub with an RJ45 connection. I connect this to the monitor. The laptop is connected via USB-C or USB-A (both cables included).
