Is it possible to connect the headphones to a smartphone directly via WIFI, without using the charging station?

This headset is not meant for that at all, it's really a TV headset, great for TV shows, sports broadcasts and movies. The specific modes are great.
It doesn't work directly on wifi without the base and I don't know if it's possible but it certainly isn't. I hope this helps...
