Is it possible to charge this speaker via USB (e.g. in the car) or does it only work via power connection?

There is no way to charge my Rockster Cross via USB. It is charged via a 220V mains adapter.
The USB socket is used to charge external devices.

Yes you can charge it anywhere usb etc
