Is it a misunderstanding? i instantly ordered as soon as it came out and i gotta wait till the end of december? i thought waiting for my GPU was bad but 2 months for a CPU?

You have never ordered on release day have you? Hardware companies generally underproduce the initial release, so they don‘t drop into massive crippling debt in the very likely case of a recall due to the dimensions of todays pc components. What that means for you, is that buying on release day is basically a pre-order. You will be the first to get it, but it is not here yet.
